This Privacy Policy explains how AZ Family Dentistry ("we," "us," or "our") handles information collected through this website. It does not cover protected health information, which is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information we collect

Information you provide: when you use our contact options, request an appointment, or sign up for practice updates, you may share your name, email address, phone number, and any details you include in your message.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical details such as your browser type and the pages you visit. We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

Stored in your browser: the site remembers your light or dark theme choice and whether you have accepted or closed our site terms notice, using your browser's local and session storage. These stay on your device, are never sent to us, and can be cleared in your browser settings at any time.

How we use information

We use the information you provide to respond to your questions, schedule and confirm appointments, send updates you have requested, and improve our website. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

Online appointment requests are handled through our scheduling provider. The office location map is drawn using OpenStreetMap data and map tiles served by OpenFreeMap; loading the map requests those tiles from OpenFreeMap, which receives the standard technical details any web request carries. When you call, text, or email using the links on this site, your message is handled by the office and our phone and email providers. These providers process information under their own privacy policies.

Location on the office map

The office map has an optional “How far am I?” button. It runs only if you press it, and your browser will ask your permission first — we never request your location automatically.

If you allow it, the distance to our office is calculated inside your own browser and shown on screen. Your location is not sent to us, not sent to anyone else, and not stored anywhere. Declining changes nothing else about the site, and you can withdraw the permission at any time in your browser settings.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from update emails at any time using the link in those messages, and you may contact us to access or remove information you submitted through the website.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for a general audience, and we do not knowingly collect information from children online. Information about pediatric patients is handled in person under HIPAA.

Protected health information (HIPAA)

Any medical or dental health information you share with the practice is protected under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is separate from this website policy.
